VORN Bioenergy is an innovative developer, constructor, and operator of biomethane plants. We are expanding our team and are currently looking for a Chief of Staff (m/f/d):

Your Responsibilities

The Chief of Staff will serve as a strategic advisor and operational leader, working closely with the CEO and executive team to drive key initiatives, enhance decision-making, and ensure cross-functional alignment. This role requires a deep understanding of the biomethane and biogas sector, as well as exceptional analytical and communication skills. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can navigate complex regulatory landscapes, and has experience in international expansion and project development.
 
Key responsibilites for the role: 
  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to drive VORN’s pan-European expansion, support business development through research and analysis in the biomethane sector and translate strategic priorities into actionable plans with clear KPIs.
  • Operational Guidance: Streamline business processes, monitor key operational metrics and provide reports to leadership, Act as an internal resource manager, ensuring effective team allocation and execution of critical projects.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination & Communication: serve as a primary liaison between the CEO and stakeholders, facilitate executive meetings, and prepare key reports and presentations, lead the preparation and delivery of board and investor materials
  • Financial Planning & Business Analysis: support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling while providing data-driven insights to guide strategic partnerships and key business decisions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Representation: Build and maintain relationships with customers, investors, government agencies, and industry partners across Europe, while representing the company at key events conferences, and regulatory discussions and ensure alignment between leadership and company initiatives.

Your Profile

  • Proven experience in a leadership, strategy, or operations role within the renewable energy sector, preferably in biomethane, biogas, or waste-to-energy industries.
  • Strong business acumen with experience in financial planning, project management, and strategic execution, experience in strategy consulting is a plus
  • Experience with European energy regulations, permitting, and policy frameworks.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive-level reports and presentations.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, financial modeling tools, and project management software.
  • Ability to travel across Europe as required.
