Occupational safety specialist (m/f/d)

VORN Bioenergy is a leading biomethane producer and project developer, with over 40 biogas projects delivered in Germany and beyond, including Europe’s first biomethane plant in 2006.
We have delivered biomethane plant development, construction, management, and optimisation across a 130+ MW project portfolio in six European markets and has an additional 90+ MW additional development pipeline. To strengthen our team, we are now looking for an Occupational safety specialist (m/f/d) for our biogas plants and their central administration:

Your Responsibilities

  • You will support the safety management of our biogas plants in Germany 
  • Your activities will include advising and monitoring compliance with safety regulations and guidelines 
  • You will be responsible for carrying out safety inspections and risk analyses 
  • You will be responsible for developing and implementing safety concepts
  • You will work with international teams and support our projects in Europe (Spain, Italy, Poland) 
  • You will take part in training and further education in the field of occupational safety
  • You will be responsible for documentation and reporting in accordance with legal requirements

Your Profile

  • You have completed training as a safety specialist (ideally including proof of industry-specific knowledge for biogas plants)
  • You have initial professional experience in the field of occupational safety, ideally in the energy or environmental sector 
  • Knowledge of biogas plants is an advantage 
  • You have a good knowledge of the relevant safety regulations and guidelines 
  • You have an independent and structured way of working 
  • You are characterised by your strong communication skills and ability to work in a team 
  • Very good MS Office skills
  • You have a very good command of English and/or ideally other European languages
  • You are willing to travel (approx. 20%) within Europe
