VORN Bioenergy is a leading biomethane producer and project developer, with over 40 biogas projects delivered in Germany and beyond, including Europe’s first biomethane plant in 2006. We have delivered biomethane plant development, construction, management, and optimisation across a 130+ MW project portfolio in six European markets and has an additional 90+ MW additional development pipeline. To strengthen our team in Regensburg, we are now looking for you as a Working student (m/f/d) Engineering & Technology:

Your Responsibilities

  • You will get to know our engineering and development departments
  • You will support the engineering team in the design of industrial biomethane projects, including the preparation of mass balance, energy balance, PFD, P&ID, and technical specifications of process equipment.
  • You will create internal documentation and reports, cost-benefit analyses, and other necessary information for the development of new robust and cost-effective designs for the biomethane industry.
  • You will support our R&D projects in evaluating laboratory data (feedstock composition and fermentation), and preparing presentations for conferences, and internal meetings.
  • You will be working with fermentation of different by-products as well as innovative concepts under development.
  • You will support the implementation of new standards for industrial biomethane plants, as well as the continuous improvement of our engineering database.

Your Profile

  • You are currently studying chemical engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a comparable field of study.
  • You are interested in renewable energy, willing to learn, work independently, and show initiative
  • You have a team-oriented, committed, and responsible approach to work
  • You have good communication skills, are able to evaluate the demands, select and adapt standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • You are confident with MS Office applications
  • An advanced level of English is a must.
  • You are available for up to 20 hours/week
